Congratulations on your Fulbright Scholarship! We just read and really enjoyed your article about Nepal. In the summer of 2008, we shared a very similar experience connecting with the deaf community in Nepal - on a smaller scale, as we were only there for 6 weeks.
We run a (pending) non-profit organization called Discovering Deaf Worlds. Our mission is to advance the capacity of local deaf communities around the globe to meet their social, educational and employment needs. We have visited eight countries and connected with over 100 deaf schools, organizations, clubs and worksites. We are currently developing our first partnership program in India.
