Students at the Srijana Deaf School in Pokhara, after a day of exams. Srijana students with the Annapurna range behind the school. A few of the students demonstrate their acrobatic abilities with backflips off the wall of the field next to the school!
I'm a deaf Fulbright student living in Nepal, working with Nepal's vibrant deaf community, and learning to speak Nepali and Nepali Sign Language. I was mainstreamed growing up, and use a hearing aid and cochlear implant to communicate, as well as sign language.
